Summary
This book covers the 2009 Marcel Duchamp prize - organized by the ADIAF, Association pour la Diffusion Internationale de l'Art Français (Association for the International Diffusion of French Art) and the winner's show "Anthology of black humour" held at Space 315, Centre Pompidou, Paris, from September 15, 2010 to January 3, 2011.
Description
As the winner of the Marcel Duchamp prize in 2009, Saâdane Afif took over Space 315 where an imposing coffin was prominently displayed. With black humour drawn from the famous anthology of the same name by André Breton, the artist designed a setting in which the Centre Pompidou becomes a sarcophagus for utopian dreams.
