Brancusi left no recording of his voice. We will always miss this sound so close to life itself, when so many artists are still with us today thanks to the radio.

But if we cannot capture the timbre of the man himself, we can sense his full resonance in the words of those who have worked or written with Brancusi's art and friendship before their eyes and in their minds.

From all these artist witnesses drawn from the archives of the INA (Institut National de l'Audiovisuel), and completed by interview comments from 1995, a portrait emerges, a biography begins to form, both sensitive and instructive, which leads us easily into one of the most outstanding works of the twentieth century.
